Joann Hilman-Payne is an emergency dispatcher for the New York fire department and she went ABOVE and BEYOND the call of duty last Monday.  At about one in the afternoon, she got a call from an elderly woman named Mary Thomas, who had slurred speech and confusion and seemed to be having a stroke. Mary wasn't able to say where she was, so Joann kept her on the line while paramedics pinpointed her by the cell tower closest to her .but that didn't work. Then they tried tracking her down by her name but that didn't work either, because she was cleaning someone ELSE'S apartment when she called. So Joann stayed on the line and kept Mary conscious for EIGHT HOURS, until Verizon was FINALLY able to give the location of the cell phone. Now Mary is alive and in intensive care.

I guess some couples just can't help fighting ALL the time. Even in the MOST inconvenient situations. 27-year-old Dylan Aufdergarten is an inmate at the Lincoln County Detention Center in North Platte, Nebraska, doing two to four years for shoplifting and criminal mischief. But on Thursday, he got his girlfriend 29-year-old Jennifer Harmon to help him ESCAPE. Dylan was at his work-release job at an animal shelter, and managed to sneak out and get into Jennifer's car. Unfortunately for them, once he got in the car, they started ARGUING. Apparently it just couldn't wait. And Jennifer got SO mad, she ended up pulling over about five miles later and kicking Dylan out of the car. He was quickly re-arrested and charged with escape. And Jennifer was arrested and charged with aiding and abetting.

This is an important moment, because it's the first story in the history of mankind where a BMW driver will come off as self-sacrificing and caring. This had better make BMW's marketing materials. On Saturday, around 7:20 A.M., a guy was driving his BMW in San Diego, California and saw a SQUIRREL in the road. Instead of plowing over the squirrel he SWERVED to save the squirrel's life. Unfortunately, he swerved RIGHT into Mission BAY...and his car started SINKING. The driver and his friend got out safely, but the car is probably totaled. It was towed out of the bay with significant water damage.

You've GOT to give this guy some credit. The typical 91 year-old has a difficult time making it up the stairs, but this guy from Arizona is breaking records for bench pressing!? 

51-year-old Kari Dangler of Key Largo, Florida has a Colt revolver, and clearly ISN'T shy about using it, because she threatened to shoot her ROOMMATES last week over a bottle of booze. It seems that Kari's roommates had hidden her bottle of VODKA. Her precious, beloved bottle of vodka. So she DEMANDED to know where it was…at gunpoint. And it wasn't necessarily an idle threat. Because earlier this month, she shot at some FROGS in her apartment complex who were ribbitting too loudly. Seriously. So her roommates called 911. When the cops got there, Kari initially denied owning the gun, but eventually ended up telling the cops that story about trying to shoot the frogs, and got caught in her own lies. She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Father's Day is Sunday, so you still have time to buy a new present if you botched it. You might actually have to walk into a store and buy it like it's 1994 or something, but at least there's time.

In a new survey, dads ranked the three WORST Father's Day gifts.  They are...

3.  Socks and underwear.

2.  A tie.

1.  FORGETTING...or not giving him anything at all.

The BEST gifts include: Photos of the kids, handmade gifts and cards, and just spending time with the family.

But when dads had to list gifts that actually cost money, in other words, the REAL gifts they want, they mentioned electronics, power tools, and sports gear and equipment.

If you want to go power tools, a separate survey found for the first time ever, more dads want power washers than drills.

According to a new study, you'll spend $17,265 on dates in your lifetime. The average person goes on 13 first dates before finding their soul mate, has 11 romantic dinners with different people, and seven dates that are full-fledged disasters. And one in five guys said that they've taken women on a vacation while they were just dating, because they thought it would impress them. The first year of a relationship is the most expensive: Couples spend an average of $5,700 on each other in the first year they're dating. That drops to about $4,200 in year two, but goes back up to about $4,700 a year in the first year after a couple gets engaged.

Here's a great last-minute Father's Day gift, a DNA test to prove he's actually your dad. Sounds heartwarming. According to a new survey by that cheating website AshleyMadison.com, as many as ONE IN FOUR women don't know for sure if the guy raising their kids is actually the father. That breaks down to 9% of women who say they KNOW their kid or kids don't actually belong to the guy who's raising them and another 16% who say they're not totally positive who fathered one or all of their kids. Of those women, three-quarters say it's their YOUNGEST child whose father is in question. Happy Father's Day! Hope that new tie makes up for being CUCKOLDED!
