An Instagram Live video from 2016 resurfaced on social media of Cardi B admitting to drugging and robbing men when she was working in strip clubs.
“I had to go strip,” Cardi B said in the initial Instagram Live video, which was re-uploaded to Twitter on March 24th. “I had to go, ‘Oh yeah, you want to f— me? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let’s go back to this hotel,’ and I drugged n—s up, and I robbed them. That’s what I used to do.”

Cardi defended herself on Instagram saying “I made the choices that I did at the time because I had very limited options,” she explained on Instagram. “I was blessed to have been able to rise from that but so many women have not. Whether or not they were poor choices at the time I did what I had to do to survive.”

Fans haven’t accepted her statement though and #SurvivingCardiB” started trending
Imagine a male celebrity admitting he use to drug and rob females after offering sex? His career would over quicker than me in bed. #SurvivingCardiB this world is backwards.

Stand up people. It’s time to cancel Cardi B. If she was a man she would have lost all her endorsements, radio play, Vegas residency, everything. She admitted to DRUGGING men. #TimesUp for women like her too. #SurvivingCardiB

I’m done with my @iamcardib commentary. I’ve been saying this since she came out she represents the worst in popular culture is a horrible example for girls and women and should not be put up on a pedestal. #survivingCardiB
