It feels like every legendary artist has done an MTV Unplugged show. Everyone from Paul McCartney to Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey to Pearl Jam, even Nirvana and Jay-Z have graced the stage for America’s favorite music TV station.
Now there’s one more name to put on that pedestal: BTS!
The seven-piece Korean group performed some never-before-heard-live songs, flipping between energetic and introspective moods. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook teamed up for five songs total, but the one that really caught everyone’s attention was their cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You.”
Looks like their soulful version was Chris Martin-approved: Coldplay’s Twitter account used a mix of Korean, English, and emojis to call the performance “beautiful.”

The fans, famously nicknamed the “BTS Army,” were also impressed!
So … BTS sang Fix You higher than the original song?! What?!
