Billie Eilish took the world by storm with the release of her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
Not only was it Grammy-winning, chart-topping, and arguably generation-defining, but according to her new Rolling Stone interview, it was also extremely difficult to create.
She spilled some surprising details, revealing that “I hated every second of it. I hated writing. I hated recording. I literally hated it. I would’ve done anything else,” she said. “I remember thinking there’s no way I’m making another album after this.”
Clearly that wasn’t her final decision – Billie’s second album Happier Than Ever is set to drop next month. Thankfully, she says that this time around, things are much easier, mostly because it’s a two-person team in charge: “It’s literally me and Finneas and no one else.”
