Kids Can Read to Dogs, Cats and Rabbits at Norfolk Animal Care Center with “Tales for Tails”

The Norfolk Animal Care Center invites Hampton Roads children to come out for Tales for Tails!

All reading levels are invited to snuggle up for storytime to read to the animals at NACC! Bring your own books or use any donated books from REACH Reading Enriches All Children at the shelter to read to dogs, cats and rabbits.

Kids can share their love of books and improve reading skills while helping to enrich the lives of shelter animals and promoting the human-animal bond. Sessions include an informational session for parents and children.

Complete “Frequent Reader Cards” by getting 1 hole punch for every book read to a shelter animal. After 5 visits, turn the completed card into the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator to receive a prize! 🐾
