Chesapeake’s Cam Thomas Selected 27th Overall in NBA Draft!

The (757) is full of ballers, and some of ’em are going pro! Thursday night, during the first round of the NBA Draft, Hampton Roads’ own Cam Thomas was picked by the Brooklyn Nets at 27th overall.

Cam, who was actually born in Japan(!), played as a freshman at Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake, and he was pretty good back then too:

Considering his new team averaged 118 points per game last season, it looks like Cam’s gonna have a chance to put up some serious numbers on the Nets! And the (757) will be cheering him on.
