Wait, THIS Artist Said ‘No’ to Doing a Billie Eilish Collab??

If Billie Eilish called you up, you’d answer. And if she asked whether you’d like to do a collaboration song together, you’d say… wait… *checks notes*… NO??!

That doesn’t seem right.

But it’s true. Doja Cat revealed in a new Rolling Stone interview that she turned down a team-up with Billie back in 2017, on the song “Bellyache.”

“I remember thinking it was so cute. I loved it. I just couldn’t think of anything to write,” she said. “It was one of my writer’s-block moments.”

Fortunately, after “Bellyache” did really well for Billie, Doja didn’t have any hard feelings. She explained: “I remember seeing that song blow up and thinking, ‘Good for her. That’s awesome.’ I don’t think the song was for me, though.”

Maybe if the opportunity came up again, the pair of popular singers would give it a try together… but for now, Billie’s brother Finneas confirmed that his sister is hard at work on new music in the studio. No word on collabs yet.
