Megan Thee Stallion celebrated her 27th birthday by honoring her late parents. In a video shared on social media, the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper said she really wanted to make her mom and grandma proud, along with herself.
The rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete, established The Pete and Thomas Foundation, named after her late parents, Holly Thomas and Joseph Pete Jr.
“My parents raised me to help others and give back, and I’m incredibly proud to launch this foundation in their memory,” she tweeted.
The non-profit organization’s focus is on “uplifting and assisting women, children, senior citizens and underserved communities in Houston, Texas and across the world.”
According to the foundation’s website, its areas of focus will be in the fields of education, housing, health and wellness.
