Kanye West’s Donda 2 Experience took place last night (February 22nd) in Miami. The event, which was streamed on Ye’s YouTube page, also featured performances from Alicia Keys, Jack Harlow, DaBaby and more.
Alicia Keys and Fivio Foreign performed “City of Gods.” The Game, Migos, Jack Harlow, Marilyn Manson, and DaBaby also performed, and features on Donda 2 include Soulja Boy, Future, the late XXXTentacion, and more.
Several songs on the album focused on Kanye and Kim’s divorce. There was also a sample of Kim’s Saturday Night Live appearance as well as a tribute to the late Virgil Abloh, saying, “I stopped buying Louis [Vuitton] after Virgil passed.”
Donda 2, which was set to be released yesterday (February 22nd), has not been released yet.
Ye said that his sequel album would not be featured on any of the major DSPs (Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify, YouTube).
“Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player. Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube,” he shared on Instagram. “Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own. Go to stemplayer.com now to order.”
