Airman Aaron Veale is an aviation ordnanceman aboard USS Abraham Lincoln, a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier operating out of San Diego, California.

A Navy aviation ordnanceman is responsible for loading munitions to aircraft for training and wartime evolutions.

“Before joining the Navy, I was aware of the importance of hard work,” said Veale. “Most importantly, I also learned patience when dealing with people.”

“The warfare games being played during RIMPAC are extremely intricate,” said Veale. “They play a huge role in continuing to develop interoperability with our allies.”

Serving in the Navy means Veale is part of a team that is taking on new importance in America’s focus on rebuilding military readiness, strengthening alliances and reforming business practices in support of the National Defense Strategy.

“The Navy protects global passageways, ensuring freedom of navigation for free commerce,” said Veale.
